ഞാൻ മുമ്പ് കേട്ടിട്ടേയില്ലാത്ത ഈ കഥ ഒരു കഥ മാത്രമായല്ലഎന്നെ ആകർഷിച്ചത്. കഥയിൽ വ്യാമുഗ്ധമായിപ്പോകുന്നആസ്വാദകമനസ്സിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ഒരു കൃതിയായാണ്ഞാനിതു വായിച്ചത്. വാഹകി പറഞ്ഞ കഥ കേട്ട്വ്യാമുഗ്ദ്ധനായി കൃഷ്ണൻ അമ്പാടിയിൽനിന്നു മാഞ്ഞ്കഥയിലെ പൂമരക്കൊമ്പിലൊരു കായാമ്പൂവായി മാറുകയാണ്. കഥയിൽ എന്നല്ല ഏതു കലയിലും മുഴുകുമ്പോൾആസ്വാദകനു വന്നുചേരുന്ന പരി ണാമമാണിത്. സങ്കല്പശക്തികൊണ്ടാണ് ഏതു കഥയും എന്ന പോലെ ഏതുപ്രണയവും സഫലമാകുന്നത് എന്നതാണ് ഈ കവിതഎനിക്കു തന്ന ഫലശ്രുതി. സങ്കല്പശക്തിയിലൂടെ പൂവായുംകിളിയായും നക്ഷത്രമായും മാറാൻ കഴിയുന്ന മന സ്സിന് ഏതുസങ്കടവും നിവൃത്തിക്കാനും ഏതു പ്രണയവുംസഫലമാക്കാനുമാവും എന്ന് ഈ ദീർഘകാവ്യം എന്നെ അനുഭവിപ്പിച്ചു.
